Universiti Malaya is Malaysia's oldest and highest-ranked university, consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. Founded in 1949 in Singapore as University of Malaya, UM relocated to Kuala Lumpur in 1963. It is a research university comprising 17 faculties and institutes, hosting over 27,000 students from more than 100 countries.
